]]>SUPPLIES NEEDED
Print the full page of sentiments using your Cricut or Silhouette Print and Cut registration marks. If you are unsure on how to do this – I have created a tutorial in both Cricut and Silhouette showing you how to set this up. In each of the files, I have also created a blank page of coupons so that you can create a more personalized message or reward.
Once the coupons are printed and cut, now all you have to do is add the scratch sticker to the coupon. If you are using the “My ScratchOffs” stickers from Amazon, then just peel and stick and you are finished!
If you are using a full sheet of scratch sticker paper, then you have a couple more steps.
That’s it! Another super easy peasy project!

]]>You've all seen the wood sign craze! Framed, unframed, painted etc. But what if you don't have the ability to do framed signs or you just haven't gotten the hang of not getting the dreaded bleed lines when painting a stencil. Well here is a quick tutorial on how you can achieve this look and bonus, it's fairly inexpensive to do!
SUPPLIES:
INSTRUCTIONS:
Fold the tissue paper over the cardstock nice and tight - making sure that edges will not lift up when running through a printer. I used Washi tape here so you could see how I taped it.
6. Next you will want to take your design and place a box around it the same size as your wood block. Make the box a very light grey - just enough that you can see it. Print the design using the standard settings of your printer.
7. Once printed carefully remove the tissue paper from the card stock and cut out on the grey lines your design.
8. Let the tissue paper print dry completely before the next step. THIS IS IMPERATIVE.
9. Paint the wood block with a very very very thin layer of modge podge and immediately place your design on top. Carefully smooth out the wrinkles.
10. Let Dry. Once dry take some fine grit sandpaper and lightly sand the edges to make sure it won't lift.
11. Give it a light coat of acrylic sealer spray and you are done!

]]>Foil Quill on wood? Yes you can!!! I've spent the last couple of weeks playing with my foil quill and seeing all the really cute Christmas Foil Quill designs, I just knew I needed to figure out a way to do this on wood! I was surprised by how easy this is to do!
Supplies:
Instructions:
I used my boldest foil tip (blue one) on a speed of 5 and a pressure of 7 with one pass.
4. Remove from your mat and take a craft knife and cut away any excess paper from the design. This will minimize the special coating and the foil will look more "melted" into the wood.
5. Now take the cut away design and drop into a bowl of room temperature water. It will curl up on you, but that is okay, it will flatten out.
6. You will know when the decal is ready - it will slip and slide away from the backing paper.
7. Now carefully slide it onto your wood block. It has a gum paste on it and will stick. I caution you as it is fragile and will tear easily.
8. Gently smooth out the decal and press with a lint free cloth to remove the wrinkles, water and bubbles.
9. Let it dry - The paper will turn white again when dry.
10. Now for the melting magic!!! Brush VERY GENTLY a THIN coat of polyurethane over the top of the dry foil. You will see the decal "melt" into the wood piece. I caution you here too to be very stingy with the polyurethane - too much and the wood becomes plastic looking and dulls the foil. Let it dry for a day or two, depending on the humidity in your region.
11. That's it! Now dress it up however you want. I took small drill bit sized 5/64 and drilled a pilot hole in the top of the block before I painted them. Then just added an eye hook, some twine, ribbon and a bell.

Ingredients:
8 oz of latex paint – I used a Valspar color Sample that cost around $3. The Color I used is 772889 Schoolboy Blue
2 and 1/2 TBS Plaster of Paris – available at Lowes for around $7 (This goes a very very long way)
1 and 1/2 TBS cold water
Instructions:
Pour cold water into Plaster of Paris. Mix until completely smooth – smashing any bits and pieces. Once mix smooth – it should have the consistency of yogurt, pour paint into mixture and mix well. I have mine stored in a mason jar. I’m heavy handed when I paint, so I try to remember the saying “Less is More” when it comes to painting. I practically dry my brush on a towel before I let it hit my project that I’m painting. It seems like a waste of paint, but doing it this way I get the most control.

This is a super easy DIY project to make for under 75¢ and is great for craft shows and Christmas gifts! Most of the supplies I have already in my stock but the 8' pine board cost $5.98 at Lowes and the napkins was $1 for a pack of 18, and I can get 2 blocks out of one napkin.
The board and napkins cost me a total of $6.98 divided by 16 is 43¢ each, then I figure in extra for the paint, stain, sandpaper, etc and each block would cost less than 75¢ to make.
See Easy Peasy.
